Tamarillos are very tasty fruits and they can be used to add flavours to all kinds of dishes. This is a salad dish you can make with tamarillos. The combination of tamarillos, avocado and salted eggs makes this healthy salad recipe really colourful and appealing to those who do not like the normal leafy green salad recipes.

Here is how to make a salad dish with tamarillos.

You will need three red tamarillos, two yellow tamarillos, one avocado, two salted eggs, a pinch of ground pepper and lemon juice.

Salted eggs can be bought from most Asian groceries.

You do not need to use salt in this dish because the salted egg will give the salad enough flavour.

The avocado gives it a creamy texture and the red and yellow tamarillos add more colours to the dish.

Put the salted eggs in a small pot and enough water to cover the eggs.

Boil the eggs for 10 minutes, just like cooking hard-boiled eggs.

Remove the eggs from the pot and cool them in cold water.

When they are cool enough to handle, remove the egg shells and set aside.

Cut the tamarillos in half and scoop out the flesh with a spoon.

Cut the tamarillos, avocado and salted eggs into smaller chunks and put the items in a bowl.

Add in a pinch of pepper and some lemon juice.

Mix all the ingredients well and serve.
